my granfather is 82. at the beginning of the fascism he was conviced it was the good politics for Italy and Europe. But then he lived the lack of freedom, the intollerance and the racism. and he turned his mind. he was sent (obliged) to africa then to greece. he survived. when he came back to Italy, he joined the partisan forces, going on mountains (abruzzese appennino)and fighting against nazist soldiers and Italian fascist soldiers too. It was civil war. Many of his childhood friends were fascists.He killed one of them.My grandpa doesn't want to tell me his name, but I know that the son of that man who was killed by my grandpa is my grandpa's doctor. he saved his life last year. things change. love wins. peace.
