11 July 2019
Shamanism, acupuncture, cupping and silent retreats — these are just some of the 37 therapies tried by author Kay Hutchison as she searched for happiness.
Kay’s journey of discovery began following a period of family turmoil. While she now is far happier than she was, she believes the therapies have highlighted a very important issue.

‘What I’ve learned after trying 37 therapies’
Author Kay Hutchison believes it’s important we remember to nurture ourselves.
Speaking on Sunday Morning with Richard Holloway, she explained, “There is a tendency in today’s world to be out there, just doing things.
Everyone needs to nourish themselves and nurture themselvesKay Hutchison, author
“The lack of real person-to-person communication makes us very distant from our spiritual selves.
“Everyone needs to nourish themselves and nurture themselves as a person and remember how amazing we are as a human being.
“It’s not just about doing things, rushing around, being successful; it’s also about recognising that you are important as a person inside.”
