Terms and Conditions

THESE TERMS WERE UPDATED ON THE 1st JULY 2025 AT 23:30.

1. The competition is open to all residents of the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 or over, except ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ or ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Group Company employees, their close relatives or anyone connected with the competitions or the particular prizes being offered.

2. The Asian Network Breakfast: Big Summer of Prizes competition will open Tuesday 17th June and run until Friday 11th July 2025 (each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and one final Friday).

3. To enter the competition rounds on Tuesday 17th June, Thursday 19th June, Tuesday 24th June, Thursday 26th June, Thursday 26th June, Tuesday 1st July, Thursday 3rd July, Tuesday 8th July, Thursday 10th July and Friday 11th July, listeners must phone in to the Asian Network breakfast show when they hear a song come to a sudden stop between 07:00am and 08:30am, and the breakfast show host announces that the competition is open. Listeners will then have 15 minutes to register for the competition.

4. To enter the competition rounds on Wednesday 18th June, Wednesday 25th June, Wednesday 2nd July and Wednesday 9th July, listeners must phone in to the Asian Network Haroon Rashid show during the given time window when they have found the answer to a clue hidden in a previous Asian Network show. Listeners can access earlier programmes with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Sounds app or at .

Sometime between 11:00am and 12:00pm Haroon Rashid will announce a clue where the answer is hidden in a previous Asian Network show. For example: 'At 08:10am yesterday, presenter Nikita Kanda revealed what her favourite animal was. What was it?' Listeners will then have 15 minutes from the announcement to find the answer and phone in to the show to register for the competition.

5. For all competition rounds, entrants who phone in to the breakfast or Haroon Rashid show will need to convince the Asian Network phone operators why they should be put forward for the on-air competition. The phone operators will ask each entrant two questions and score each answer out of 5 based on their enthusiasm and passion for the prize, for an overall score out of 10. The two questions are:

1. What’s your favourite show on the Asian Network and why?
2. Why do you want to win the prize?

The phone operators will shortlist a selection of entrants with the highest overall scores to come on air to answer one trivia question related to the prize available on that competition day. Entrants will be called back in order of their scores (with the highest scoring entrant being called first). If the call is not answered on the first attempt, or if there is no answer after 30 seconds of the phone ringing, or the shortlisted entrant is rude or abusive, then they will not take part in the on air competition. The entrant with the next highest score will then be called.

Entrants will be brought on air to play the competition in which they will have five seconds to answer the multiple choice trivia question. Only the first answer will be accepted. If they get the answer wrong, they do not win the prize and the entrant with the next highest score will be called and brought on air to answer a different trivia question. This process will continue until an entrant correctly answers a trivia question and wins the prize.

6. Registration to take part in the competition is only available by using the following method:

by phoning 03459 440 445 during the registration window described above. Standard geographic call charges apply. No other method of entry will be accepted.

7. Entrants who do not win a prize may enter other competition rounds. Winners are excluded from other competition rounds.

8. Each entrant must enter the competition on their own behalf, and register using their own phone. The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ reserves the right to disqualify any entrant.

9. The ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's decision as to entrants and winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

10. Winners agree to take part in any post-competition publicity if required.

11. On each day of the competition the presenters of the respective shows will announce the prize available to win that day. Entrants must listen out for which prize is available on a given competition day to avoid disappointment. The available prizes are:
