Episode 8

Byron’s dreams of escaping Hucknall are dealt a major blow after a devastating turn of events.

Newly released from prison and living authentically as a woman, Byron is determined to escape Hucknall once and for all.

A humiliating university interview reveals the true scale of the challenge ahead of Byron – navigating life as a trans woman will not be easy, made even more complicated by her criminal record.

Seeking reassurance and refuge, Byron attempts to rekindle her friendship with Lady Die and Sasha, only to find both girls have moved on with their lives. But when an unexpected ghost from Byron’s past emerges, she is forced to confront an unsettling truth: perhaps she is fighting a losing battle against her future, and Hucknall is where she truly belongs.

Standing at the crossroads between her old life and an uncertain future, a devastating turn of events threatens to anchor Byron permanently to the very existence she has been desperate to leave behind.
