³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician 2025 Finalists – Mel Bonis

Jamie MacDougall shares performances from the finalists of this year’s ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician, plus music from Errollyn Wallen and Mel Bonis.

Jamie MacDougall shares music from the finalists of 2025's ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio Scotland Young Classical Musician award. The finalists are violinist Emma Baird, saxophonist Ziheng Huang and accordionist Sofia Ros, who will all be performing at the grand final next month with the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Scottish Symphony Orchestra at Glasgow’s City Halls. We also hear the music of two trailblazing female composers, Errollyn Wallen and a piece by Mel Bonis, taking inspiration from three legendary women – Salome, Ophelia and Cleopatra.
