Situated at the southern tip of the isle of Harris, the town of Leverburgh boasts a small but healthy fishing industry, a ferry port and constant sea traffic to the numerous islands in the sound of Harris.

The area is remote, but for the small population, some hope is on the horizon - for the first time in 60 years, a housing scheme is under way. There are many daily challenges to overcome living in a remote location, but the strong sense of community in Leverburgh ensures that their combined strengths are for the wider benefit.
