25-year-old woman: 'I love my beard'
Harnaam Kaur holds the Guinness World Record for the youngest woman with a full beard – and is now a body positivity campaigner.
At the age of 16 she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome - a condition that affects one in five women and can affect a woman's hormone levels, periods and ovulation. Harnaam's symptoms include excessive facial and body hair.
Bullying at school drove her to self-harm, but she accepted her beard and now travels the world spreading her message of body positivity.
Harnaam told 5 live Daily's Emma Barnett she has given her beard a persona, and a female identity. “If I love every aspect of myself, why can't she [my beard] be a her?"
