Former Royal Marine Tom Birch sustained a serious brain injury in 2006 while serving in Afghanistan.

The injury has left him with slurred speech, and as a result finds getting served in bars difficult because bar staff think he's drunk. This often leads to the police getting involved.

He told 5 live: "I've been arrested in all corners of the world for what they perceive as drunk and disorderly."

The charity ‘Headway’ hopes that a 'Brain Injury Identity Card' could help.
