Why Colin Kaepernick is no Muhammad Ali
US TV presenter Jason Whitlock believes Colin Kaepernick should not be compared to Muhammad Ali when it comes to campaigning for racial equality in America.
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick provoked controversy last year for sitting or kneeling during the national anthem, to protest against racial injustice and police brutality towards black Americans. During the current NFL season, a number of players and teams have made similar protests.
Fox Sports host Whitlock says that former world heavyweight champion Ali, through the Nation of Islam, had a 鈥減lan and a vision for black people鈥, and is critical of Kaepernick鈥檚 actions, which he believes are based on 鈥140 characters of Twitter.鈥
