'My wife got PTSD after being hospitalised with Covid-19'
A caller to 成人快手 Radio 5 Live said his wife had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after being treated in hospital for coronavirus.
Mervyn, from Belfast, called into the Stephen Nolan show and explained how his wife was taken through an end-of-life plan because of her underlying conditions.
Since returning home she has been on medication to combat the nightmares she is having.
A study in The Lancet has suggested that delirium and confusion may be common among some seriously-ill hospital patients with Covid-19, saying doctors should look out for depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after recovery. However it says most patients will not be affected.
