The gift which embodied the βmagicβ of Roald Dahl
Australian children gave the Bucks author an opal after he spoke to their class. Mark Taylor, the teacher who facilitated the call in 1989, made an βoverwhelmingβ visit to the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden to see the gemstone in his writing hut. Lily-May Symonds went to meet him.
