Octopus Energy apologises to Worcestershire man

Peter Holden from Hartlebury has accused the energy firm of 'relentlessly pursing him' for almost for years, for a 拢6,000 gas bill that wasn't his.

Despite repeatedly alerting the company to its mistake, the foodbank volunteer said since August 2021 he had been sent monthly energy bills and had even been chased by debt collectors.

James Pearson reports.

After the 成人快手 contacted Octopus, the firm has apologised to Mr Holden, and said the debt has been cleared from this property.

In a statement, Mario Lupori, Commercial Director at Octopus Energy, said: 鈥淲e sent Peter a number of letters addressed to 鈥榯he occupier鈥 which were about the debt of another customer. It was a complex situation where another account of ours had the same technical details as Peter鈥檚 meter, and it took us too long to fix, so I鈥檝e spoken to Peter and apologised. I鈥檒l stay in personal contact with him moving forward and hope to restore his faith in us.鈥
