Abandoned canal boats 'complete eyesore'
A charity has pledged to clean-up the waterways of Loughborough after local residents voiced concerns about the number of sinking boats.
The River Soar, which also serves as a canal through the town, has become home to numerous abandoned boats between Bishop Meadow Lock and The Basin.
The Canal and Rivers Trust says it's aware of the stricken vessels and added that it's in the process to get them removed.
³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Leicester reporter Ben Mellor met some local residents, and Matthew Symonds, Head of Boating at Customer Service at the Canal and Rivers Trust, spoke to ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Leicester's Ady Dayman.
