 Laurie Taylor is joined by sociologist and cultural criminologist Dr听Mike Presdee to debate his thesis that the reason behind the recent increase in the number of fire-related crimes concerns our need for excitement and carnival.
 
 Mike Presdee is a member of the School of Social Policy, Sociology and Social Research at the University of Kent and the author of an essay Burning Issues: Fire, Carnival and Crime to be published later this year in the second edition of Cultural Criminology and the Carnival of Crime
