Police say they are frustrated that phone companies have not taken swifter action to protect their vulnerable customers against fraud. Hundreds of people have been called by criminals and conned into passing on their credit card details. Phone companies could prevent this fraud, but many have so far failed to take action. The government has taken steps to better regulate cosmetic surgery, but many industry figures believe the new rules fall short of what's needed to protect consumers.
