Libya's Fractured Oil Economy

Business Daily

Available for over a year

We look at the state of a country that has become a springboard for an increasing numbersof migrants risking all to reach European shores. Riccardo Fabiani, senior analyst for North Africa at Eurasia Group in London, tells us Libya is 'almost a failed state'. Also, we look at the global oil industry amid signs some companies are returning to exploration. We speak to Robert Estill, chief executive officer of Madagascar Oil, which has recently been given a licence to drill for oil off the island state. Plus, Chris Faulkner, chief executve officer of Breitling Energy Corporation - the man known as America's 'Frack Master' - tells us that many US fracking wells may become operational again if the oil price keeps recovering as it has. On a completely different note, the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's Rahul Tandon in Calcutta writes about India's tradition of Vaastu, the country's version of feng shui, and its effect on the property market there.
