The contemporary classical composer Philip Glass’s association with David Bowie is long standing. Having already re-imagined the music of Bowie's first two of the Berlin trilogy, Low and Heroes, Glass has completed the trilogy with a new composition based on the final album, Lodger. The new work is to be premiered in London in May. Gordon Brewer discussed the cross over between classical and rock music and the relationship between Philip Glass and David Bowie with Joe Duddell, composer and arranger who has worked with, amongst others, New Order and Elbow as well as Philip Glass himself.
