How To Run A Successful Club Night

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Introducing

Available for over a year

Andrew Marston looks at how to run a successful club night with special guests Alan McGee, Judge Jules and 220 Kid plus club promoters Jay Newman and Fergus Myer: • Jay Newman has been DJing around the Midlands for the last decade, before setting up the Worcester ProJect warehouse parties then landed the event manager role for Ibiza Rocks in San Antonio. He’s also been the touring resident with Ministry Of Sound and Formula 1 and has, most recently, set up a disco festival. • Fergus Myer was the booker for Fly Events, in Scotland, running weekly club nights, tours and a two-day outdoor festival of 16,000 people. • 220 Kid is a producer, discovered by ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Music Introducing in Hereford & Worcester, whose debut single was in the Top 10 and his follow-up is currently on the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 1 and ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Radio 2 playlist. • Judge Jules has been DJing for the last 30 years, playing more than 5,000 gigs – including his own Ibiza night, for the last two decades, while holding down a variety of ‘other’ jobs in the music business. • Hay-on-Wye’s Alan McGee was the founding father of Creation Records, after starting life as a club promoter – aged 21 – in London. In 1999, he returned to club promotion, management and publishing – and is about to start another night and host his own festival, next year.
